HOTEL KAYLA

Hotel Kayla is located on Jewel Cay, off the western end of the island of Utila and around a 30 minute boat ride from the center of Utila Town. Hotel Kayla actually comprises two buildings, Hotel Kayla (total of 9 rooms) located on the waterfront, and Hotel KaylaII (total of 4 rooms) located nearby and across from Myra’s Café. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom and are essentially identical in both buildings. Hotel Kayla has a large foyer and dining area. As it is located on the waterfront, Hotel Kayla also has it's own private dock with 2 sun deck areas. Kayla I also offers hot water showers, free high speed wifi, free filtered water and coffee/tea in the mornings. There are 4 rooms at Kayla which come with optional AC units if desired.

 CORAL HOUSE AT TREASURE BEACH

Featuring three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a great room featuring 16ft vaulted ceilings, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a huge wrap around veranda with day beds and a dining table for six people. Located only 70ft from the waters edge the house has sweeping views of Treasure Beach, ocean, the Utila Cays and the Pico Bonito mountains of mainland Honduras on the horizon. Seven sets of french doors open onto the verandas, allowing you to blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor living. The Coral House features 2400 sq. ft of living space and 800 sq. ft of covered verandas and can accommodate up to eight adults (two in twin beds located in the shared area). A large sunbathing/star gazing deck is built over the water, enjoy cooling sea breezes as you look at the coral reef below or enjoy sunsets over the cays. The snorkeling in front of the house is truly world class with our beautiful coral reef. You will also have a concierge, Air Conditioning in each room, Hot Water, Fully Equipped Kitchen including microwave and coffeemaker.

PINEAPPLE HOUSE AT TREASURE BEACH

Lovely beachfront home on the secluded south shore of Utila off the coast of Honduras. The beach is at your doorstep and the breeze is constant. The house has big open spaces everywhere, from the upstairs living area to the wrap around porch. The snorkeling and diving right off the shore is spectacular. Includes shared use of the Treasure Beach dock with sunbathing/stargazing upper deck. The main floor has a large (700 sq.ft) living/dining/kitchen with 16 ft. high ceilings and French doors leading to the veranda and views of the ocean, cays and the mountains of the mainland. The master bedroom has walk in closet and French doors opening to the veranda with ocean views, en suite bathroom with double vanities and large walk in shower. The upstairs guest bedroom has a roomy closet and en suite bathroom with single vanity and walk in shower. The ground floor is accessed via a separate entrance and has two bedrooms, each with views of the ocean, 10 ft. high ceilings, walk in closets and French doors that open onto the beach. The downstairs, shared bathroom has a single vanity and walk in shower. You will also have a concierge, Air Conditioning in each room, Hot Water, Fully Equipped Kitchen including microwave and coffeemaker. Free pick up and drop off from your private dock complimentary when diving with us.

CASA DE PLAYA

Right at the edge of the Caribbean Sea, this fully-furnished luxury 2 story, 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom, Island home comes with a spectacular view overlooking the Utila Cays harbor with the mountains of Honduras just in the distance. Includes free wi-fi and use of the two story dock, with partially covered upper deck. The open floor plan of the Upper House has a full kitchen with dining, lounge, and loft areas, comfortable seating for dreaming, napping, reading, watching the TV, or sit on the large covered porch with the same spectacular views as is offered from the over the water deck. While out on the porch you may want to hang out in a hammock and watch life pass by during a typical Caribbean day. All bedroom and living space can be air conditioned for comfort. The Upper House master bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom a few steps away. The Upper House also has two bedrooms that share a separate bathroom. The Lower House has two large separate bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a single bed and en suite bathroom. The Lower House also has a separate shared kitchenette area.

Eat

The Utila Cays have 4 small, locally owned restaurants: Cayview, Fishburger's, Myra's and Lou Ann's restaurants, which serve a variety of fish and chicken dishes, burgers and fries as well as typical food (baleadas, tacos, quesadillas), sometimes offering daily specials as well. Cayview and Fishburger's are also licensed, serving local beers and basic cocktails. There are about 5 small stores where you can shop for basic ingredients and you can buy fresh fish from the locals should you wish to prepare your own dinner in the shared kitchen.

We also offer trips to Neptune's Bar and Grill, Utila's only “on-the-beach” restaurant, as well as trips to town where there is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. There may be an additional charge for transportation to and from these locations.

Kayak Rental

Rent a kayak by the hour, half day or full day and explore all the other small islands that make up the Utila Cays.

Water Cay

Spend an hour, half day or full day on this idyllic picture-perfect island just a few minutes' boat ride away from us. There are no buildings here, just pure white sand and palm trees. Make sure you bring along your snorkel gear to explore the reef on the south side of the island. Water taxi fee and a small maintenance fee for the caretaker of the island will apply.

 Neptune's Bar and Grill

The setting is spectacular - right on the beach, just steps away from their 190-foot pier and offering magnificent mountain and sunset views, as well as great snorkeling right off the dock.

The tantalizing menu features favorites like: Tuna Tower, Poke Bowl, Fish Tacos, Plentiful Nachos, Homemade Burgers, Shrimp Po Boys, Panini's, Ceviche, Plantain Chips, Hand-Cut Fries, and Coconut Red Beans and Rice.

Also try their signature cocktails: Mojitos, Fresh Fruit Daiquiris, Spicy Margaritas, a Dark and Stormy, or their new cocktail, The Whaleshark! Neptune's Bar and Grill at Coral Beach Village has become one of Utila's most popular dining and hanging out spots!

Trip to Town

Charter a water taxi and head out to explore Utila town. A typical trip allows for about 3 hrs to tour the main street, have lunch, go souvenir shopping or visit the Jade Seahorse, the Whale Shark and Oceanic Research Center, the Bay Islands Conservation Association, the Iguana Station, tour the Fresh Water Caves or Pumpkin Hill, rent a scooter, 4-wheeler or golf cart, there are TONS of options to choose from!

Trip to Cayos Cochinos

A full day trip to the first and oldest Marine Reserve Area in Honduras. Cayos Cochinos is a group of 2 small islands and 13 cays, home to a Garifuna village on Chachahuate Cay. You can choose to snorkel or dive the pristine reefs around the islands to experience what the Caribbean used to look and feel like. Enjoy sightseeing and a traditional Garifuna lunch with a cold drink before returning to the Utila Cays.

Trip to Mainland (Zip Lining / White Water Rafting)

A full day trip, either via the Utila Dream ferry or direct boat from the Cays to La Ceiba and back. Transportation from the ferry dock to one of the lodges along the Cangrejal River into the rainforest of Pico Bonito National Park. Activities here include white water rafting, canopy zipline or guided nature tours. You'll have time for lunch in La Ceiba and to explore the market and the city center before returning to the Cays.
