Since the Utila Cays are close to the beautiful north side of Utila - it's our destination almost every time we leave the dock! Turtle Harbour on
the north side is where the Cayman trench meets the volcanic island of Utila - depths here are in thousands of meters! Turtle Harbour has
a wide variety of diving - from shallow sand channels where the nurse sharks hang out, to the no-bottom wall at CJ's Drop-off...we won't repeat
a dive site - unless our guests request it!
WHAT ABOUT THE WHALE SHARKS?
Yes...it's true...whale sharks LOVE the north side of Utila and we LOVE being so close to the action! The beautiful creatures grace us with their
presence about four times a year and since we are only minutes away from their playground - our guests get front-row seats! We even offer
a whale shark specialty course to compliment your encounter so you are better aware of how you can help protect these beautiful animals.
Bogdan Stadniciuc is a PADI Staff Instructor and has been on the Utila Cays for 5 years. He has over 2000 dives in Utila alone!
Before starting Utila Cays Diving, he managed U-Dive at Utopia Resort, and worked at the Constance Halaveli Resort in the Maldives.
Bogdan is a trained underwater videographer and has owned a videography business for the last three years (www.duppywaters.com).
Bogdan teaches with enthusiasm, the highest level of safety and great knowledge of the underwater ecosystem.
WHAT ABOUT DIVING COURSES?
We teach a variety of PADI SCUBA courses - from open water certification to divemaster! Our tranquil spot on the Cays allows
small-group (if not private) instruction and a serene environment for learning. We have top-of-the line gear (Aqualung and ScubaPro)
and our head instructor is a PADI Staff Instructor with over 2000 dives in the Utila Cays alone.
